FAQs
On a combi this often points to the diverter valve, and on a system with a cylinder it's usually a motorised valve or the controls. Both can normally be repaired or replaced without changing the boiler.
Yes. Some programmers lose their settings or default to off after a power cut, and the boiler may need resetting, so check the time and programme before booking.
If the boiler fires but the pipes leading away from it stay cold, the pump is a likely suspect. A pump that hums, runs very hot or is silent while the heating is on often needs freeing or replacing.
Yes. Smart controls can lose their link with the receiver, wiring centre or boiler, and the engineer checks each connection to find where the signal stops.
No. An emergency costs the same as any other call-out in the same time band. You pay for the time of day, not the word "emergency".
Travel within the area we cover, attendance, diagnosis and the first 60 minutes of work. After the first hour, time is charged in 30-minute blocks at the extra-time rate for the same band.
